So there’s this sign in the lobby of my building:
Do you think the creators of the sign know about Festivus? Check out the Wikipedia page if you don’t know about it – basically, it is the made-up holiday of the Costanza Family on Seinfeld.
For me, it begs the question, did the creator of the sign know about the Festivus-Seinfeld connection and put it in there to be funny? Or do they think it is a “real” holiday deserving of being included out of political correctness? Maybe they are poking fun at the inclusion of non-mainstream holiday wishes so they can claim they we’re being considerate of all faiths…
More importantly, where’s “Happy Ramadan” or “Happy Eid” for our Islamic co-workers?
